Are you sitting comfortably? No? Exactly.
That’s where we come in. Because NoChintz believes that good design should be accessible to everyone. Everywhere.
Formed in March 2007, NoChintz started life delivering contemporary furniture packs to property developers. A few private residential briefs and a ton of commercial projects later, NoChintz quickly became one of the UK’s leading creative interior design studios. With a portfolio of over 1000 projects and more than 250 clients, we’ve now evolved into a ‘360˚’ studio – offering full-service branding and identity design to compliment the interiors and experiences we create.
With our large in house team, not to mention a whole group of creative collaborators and co-conspirators, we’re continuing our mission to bring great design to more people than ever.
Meet Natalie Gray, one of our Creative Directors
Former display manager for Harvey Nichols, Natalie cut her teeth creating window displays and retail interior concepts. Combining current trends with her own ideas, Natalie led a team of artists, designers and stylists, refining her extensive knowledge of design and fashion along the way. Just a year after setting up NoChintz with her pals Lucy and Dominic, she was nominated Northwest woman in Business 2008. Which just goes to show how far a little bit of grit and determination can get you.
Meet Lucy Goddard, our other Creative Director
Lucy's background has always been in design but it was after completing her NESTA sponsored Masters of Enterprise that she joined the Harvey Nichols' design team, where she and Natalie met. Her next move was to join pioneering property developer Urban Splash where she she honed her skills as an interior designer to be reckoned with, delivering dozens of ground breaking show apartments across their portfolio of award winning developments. These days she's obsessed with emerging trends, particularly those within the travel and hospitality industry. Focusing these efforts more recently on our hotel design area, one of her recent projects has been shortlisted for the World Architecture News Awards for Retail and Leisure interiors.
You also need to meet Dominic Beardwell, our Operations Director
Dominic has a knack of turning his hand to anything. A serial entrepreneur with a passion for creative business, he’s the Operations Director of NoChintz. He’s particularly good at helping and encouraging everyone to be as successful as possible. Dominic also advises numerous start-ups and small companies on how to grow and market themselves proactively. His latest venture outside NoChintz is Train Manchester, a concept gym launched in January 2012. In 2011 Business Insider named him one of the Top 42 Under 42 entrepreneurs in the North West.
And you definitely have to meet Leanne Wookey, one of our other Directors
Leanne’s proven to be so indispensable that we decided to make her a director. No stranger to paying her dues, Leanne began her career working for a commercial interior design company in Liverpool, where she designed everything from offices to schools. But NoChintz first spotted her talent whilst she was freelancing around Manchester, and quickly convinced her to join our fold full-time.
