Briefed to design a contemporary take on an American Diner for a ‘young’, ‘hip’ audience NoChintz looked directly to the streets of LA to draw inspiration.
Delivering a space with embodies all of style and class of iconic L.A. The concept draws direct inspiration from cruising down Sunset Boulevard towards Rodeo Drive. Leather upholstery, chrome details and high gloss surfaces subtly reference the sporty cars whilst a bold and expressive ceiling graphic takes you slap bang the middle of the palm lined streets of L.A. These elements are used with classic American diner styling to define Rodeo Drive Diner and give a sophistication, with bold colour blocking throughout for a contemporary twist.
The branding is simple and classic to mirror the elegance of this prestigious LA quarter – and the strong use of cyan give is a cool tone. The painted exterior give a strong street presence with hand painted signage. A Hollywood style lighting installation brightens the space adding glitz and glamour; and a wallpapered palm print ceiling creates a more playful aesthetic.
The toilets too feature an ombre wallpaper to reference the iconic LA sunsets as you drive down Sunset Boulevard towards Rodeo Drive.
Rodeo Drive Diner is located on the outskirts of Bolton, serving freshly made takes on classic American Diner food.
