Following the success of the scheme at Banyan Manchester in the Corn Exchange, NoChintz were appointed for full interior design consultancy and specification at both the refurbishment of the Harrogate site, and the new offering in the impressive Old Post Office at City Square, Leeds.
The concept from Manchester was tweaked to respond to a more bar led/night time offering at Harrogate by introducing a mirrored back bar clad in hexagon tiles, more muted fabrics and high level tables through the space. The space was given a paired down dressing scheme of bespoke branded bottles, jars and herbs. This followed through to the ground floor of the Leeds scheme.
In Leeds, ARC wanted a new concept for the upstairs level which was to be positioned as a cocktail bar available for private bookings. The space was divided into two areas, The Branch Private Dining Room and the main bar space. We implemented a brass accent colour to distinguish from the copper downstairs, warm feature amber and coffee glass lighting, panelled wall features and oxblood leather and tan seating to create a more traditional backdrop. The space was dressed with eclectic travel inspired items and bespoke branded books.
Both schemes feature the trademark Banyan Features NoChintz implemented into the rollout, such as the references to the Banyan tree; high end timber flooring finishes, chevron wall cladding, bespoke designed log and map wallpapers, copper branch style lighting, bespoke designed end grain block tables and feature signage throughout the space. Tan leathers and soft blue tones help add warmth to the space through soft furnishings and details.
