NoChintz have strengthened our Senior Management team with the internal promotion of two of our designers. Leanne Wookey has been promoted to the Board of Directors and Amy Brown has been promoted to associate director. These promotions are in recognition of their outstanding achievements in delivering key projects for high profile commercial and retail clients including Peel Holdings, Bruntwood, Proper Tea and Private White VC.
Both have contributed significantly to NoChintz’s outstanding success over the past twelve months, which has seen the business grow into a £2.5M plus studio.
During the past three years Leanne’s role has developed with the business, having joined the team as a designer in 2010. Her new remit as Director will include working closely with Dominic Beardwell, Operations Director in developing the Live and Work business areas across the north west. Leanne, 31 has over seven years experience as a designer, having graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a BA (Hons) in interior design.
Amy joined NoChintz in 2011 as an intern and has developed her career working across a variety of unique and diverse projects within its ‘play’ portfolio. She has worked collaboratively with the team and clients to develop concepts through to detailed design and has project managed a wide range of projects with values ranging from £10,000 to £250,000.
Speaking about the decision to promote members of the existing team, NoChintz founder Dominic said: “Both Leanne and Amy have helped the business to go from strength to strength this year and they have demonstrated that not only are they both very talented designers, they are also commercially minded and share our ambitions for the future development of NoChintz.
“Our team is our greatest asset and we are so proud of how each member contributes individually to the business, particularly as we enjoy another successful year and increase in turnover. We have also now appointed three additional designers within Leanne’s team to facilitate additional commercial work that we have recently won.
“Along with Natalie and Lucy, I look forward to seeing Leanne and Amy continue to provide our clients with exceptional design support and outstanding levels of service.”
Leanne added: “Since joining the team I have thrived on the many exciting opportunities that have been presented to me and I have enjoyed the exposure to so many challenging and interesting projects. I am thrilled that I will be able to contribute strategically to NoChintz’s vision and aspirations whilst continuing to be ‘hands on’ with developing creative solutions to clients’ briefs.”
Amy concluded: “I am absolutely delighted to be promoted to associate director. The directors have given me every opportunity to learn from them, challenge myself daily and have creative control over the projects that I have worked on. Over the last three years it has been a great experience to see the company grow and develop its diverse client base. It is a very exciting time for the business and I am incredibly proud to be recognised as part of that.”
Big congratulations to Amy and Leanne!
