Following on from the feature in last month’s newsletter, which detailed the way-finding project NoChintz worked on for dock10, this month we look at how the project progressed to include an interior refresh.
NoChintz developed a scheme inspired by the RGB colour-ways of digital broadcast. The colour-ways scheme was applied throughout dock10’s building interior, with new carpet finishes, painted walls and booths of breakout furniture. Studio inspired lighting also helped to bring the theme into play.
On the mezzanine lounge level, which overlooks the audience holding area, a range of seating was installed to provide informal meeting and relaxation areas for staff. Similar booths of seating were also placed at various points along the ‘working’ corridors in the studio galleries and post production areas of dock10.
dock10, located in MediaCityUK, is a leading digital media service provider. Programmes made in dock10’s seven HD studios, two audio studios and 27 edit suites, include The Voice, Match of the Day, Blue Peter, Happy Valley and Last Tango in Halifax.
