We worked closely with our friends Corporation Pop on all aspects of branding and identity on Train. Moving away from the ‘typical’ gym design, the interior was created to be innovative and unique with a ‘spit & sawdust’ industrial feel. Existing materials were reused throughout the project as well as hundreds of scaffold boards and recycled wooden pallets for wall coverings and seating.
Bold lettering, way-finding and the use of graphics throughout demonstrate Train’s strong identity and individuality, featured not just on signage and walls but as markers on jump-boxes, vintage fly-posters and the member’s t-shirts. In keeping with the ‘Train’ theme, vintage train tickets are displayed in corridors grouped as colour-ways; their RAL colours matched to the painted boards leading you to the changing areas upstairs.
