The NoChintz team attended the first Manchester Penguin Pool event last week.
We were all intrigued when the invitation arrived stating the focus of the event would be on the senses, design and creativity.
Featuring were Professor Trevor Cox, on becoming a sound explorer and Victoria Henshaw introducing smell in urban design and city ‘smellwalking’, the first UK Penguin Pool outside London did not disappoint.
There was an installation provided by Lazerian made from old TV castings that gave the feeling of movement throughout the space.
We particularly enjoyed the amazing canapes that were worthy of a nod from Heston Blumenthal, with Tiramisu in plant pots and desserts made over a frozen sheet of metal.
