NoChintz’ Katie recently travelled to the South Western Basque region of France for her honeymoon – here are some of her highlights from the trip:
Our accommodation for the trip was a beautiful, a little wooden chalet in the grounds of a water mill. We stayed near the village of La Bastide Clairence which is a 30 minute drive away from Biarritz, located close to the Pyrenees mountain range.
I loved the distinctive red and white architecture of the Basque region, which can be seen all around the village of La Bastide Clairence.
We took Le Petit Train up to the top of the La Rhune Mountain, at 905 meters high you can get spectacular views of both the French and Spanish Basque coastline.
The trip wouldn’t have been complete without the NoChintz favourite Macarons! We visited Maison Adam for some very expensive and highly addictive Macarons.
