Earlier this month Natural Retreats‘ new concept The Outfitters activity centre at John O’Groats.
Originally The Last House Museum, Natural Retreats launched The Outfitters as part of their redevelopment of the John O’Groats area. Outfitters is a base for booking a host of activities available in the area, as well as a retail offering selling technical garments, outdoor equipment and other associated activity products to the guests of John O’Groats. Just last week we blogged about killer whales that were spotted literally metres outside this building – boat tours amongst other activities will form part of the new programming.
Not only did NoChintz design the interiors of this space but Natalie Gray, Creative Director, acted as retail consultant and buyer for the project, bringing together a selection of the best in British Manufacturing and heritage brands including our Northern Quarter neighbours, ‘A Few Fine Things’. Natalie’s extensive experience as head of Visual Merchandising at Harvey Nichols stood her in good stead to work alongside the NR team to develop this unique offering, championing ‘all things British’.
Our photographer will be on site in a couple of weeks to capture the full story as well as to document the main part of the the project that we have been working away on over the last six months, 23 holiday cottages. The August newsletter will have this coverage.
GLM were the architects and project managers on this development.
