Rounding up Leanne’s Design Festival Diary is her Design Junction visit:
Finally, my favourite part of the trail and the last stop, Design Junction. With Designers, Such as Pinch, James Burleigh, VG &P and Deadgood all high on my list of designer to see, Design junction was one of my busiest stops on my Design Festival trail. It was great to meet Another Country’s Paul De Zwart, Resident from New Zealand, and Channel Design.
Design Junction allowed Benchmark furniture to exhibit the largest single piece of solid oak table top I’ve ever seen, at a massive 11.4 metres long and provided by a 165 yr old European Oak tree, it was amazing!
The table was so big that they had to take a window out to get it into the show, which was held in the basement of Victoria House, the result was definitely worth it as the table provided Design Junction with an extra creative edge.
Overall my trip to London Design Festival was very successful and extremely useful, I look forward to specifying some of the products I saw in the future.
