NOCHINTZ HELPS GLOBAL SPORTS BRAND CANTERBURY OF NEW ZEALAND LAUNCH NEW FASHION RANGE AT BREAD AND BUTTER, BERLIN 07-09 JULY 2010

This week we helped our first international client, clothing brand Canterbury of New Zealand launch a new fashion range at Bread and Butter, the international trade fair for street and urban wear held in Berlin from 7-9 July 2010.

NoChintz designed the stand to echo old school Rugby Clubhouses, complete with bitter pumps and snooker table.  The new Canterbury of New Zealand clothing range is displayed amongst old black and white pictures of rugby teams all providing a nod to the brand’s famous heritage.

Natalie Gray, director, NoChintz said: “Canterbury of New Zealand is the first international brand NoChintz has worked with, and we have very much enjoyed working with them for Bread and Butter to help them launch the new range to the world’s fashion industry.”

Canterbury of New Zealand was established in 1904, and is recognised across the globe for its association with rugby, sponsoring many of the world’s most prominent international and club teams including the World Champions, South Africa.  Canterbury is committed to producing innovative and technical garments for sports people on the field, and having been bought by JD Sports Fashion plc in August 2009, is now launching a new fashion range.

The new fashion range heralds an exciting new era in the evolution of the iconic New Zealand rugby brand.  The Spring/Summer 2011 collection is influenced by NZ collegiate sporting heritage.  Trend driven silhouettes and fabrics are the cornerstone of the collection with iconic badges and vintage detailing throughout.

One of the main features on the stand is the wall installation of retro school chairs, designed to reflect the NZ collegiate influence on the clothing range.  There is also a Victorian locker room complete with lights made from shower heads and butchers ceramic tiles.

Chris Stephenson, Chief Executive, Canterbury of New Zealand said:  “We were very impressed with NoChintz; their portfolio shows their creativity and unconventional approach to design.  Their response to our brief fits with our aspirations for Canterbury, and we are very impressed with the stand they have created for us at Bread and Butter.”

NoChintz is a team of creative thinkers and designers and offer a comprehensive interior design services across the full spectrum of residential, commercial and leisure sectors.
